Incredibly Useful Android Apps - Part 1 of 3

We see lots of phones and we are always taking note of what apps people are using and constantly discovering new and more useful apps every day.  So I thought I would put together a list of apps that can be really, really useful on a daily basis.

Pixlr

Pixlr is a fun and powerful photo editor that lets you quickly crop, rotate, and fine-tune any picture, free.  Pixlr allows you to add effects such as overlays or borders, and helps you with a full set of tools to help with things like red-eye removal or teeth whitening.

WhatsApp

WhatsApp allows free phone calls to any WhatsApp user, offers free SMS and MMS to other WhatsApp users, and is currently the most popular IM app around with more than a billion users! The app is available across every major OS to (Android, IOS, Blackberry) and is tied to your phone number so once you sign up your contacts are imported automatically from your phone book. Not only is it not tied to one specific OS, it also eliminated the task of having to search for other users to add them.

Evernote

Evernote is the go-to note-taking and syncing app out there and is even being included on some new devices by default!  It includes features such as snapping pictures of business cards or documents and automatically saving them as the appropriate file types, and has a clear, uncluttered interface making it intuitive to use.  While there are other options, none of them are nearly as powerful as Evernote, although you have to pay for the highest tier of service to get all the best bells and whistles.
